Robert Capovilla is an award-winning attorney with a national reputation for producing positive outcomes in the most challenging cases.  His clients include military service members – active, reserves, and retired – as well as students facing serious allegations involving sexual assault and harassment, domestic violence, stalking, drug use, and other misconduct.

Prior to entering private practice, Rob served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, holding numerous positions in prosecution, defense, and administrative law divisions.  It was during this time that he realized the depth of injustice and frequent overreaching by large and powerful institutions. Today, Rob dedicates his professional life to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with those accused of serious wrongdoing, and is steadfastly committed to ensuring that they receive every protection provided by the Constitution and common sense rules of due process and fairness.

In addition to practicing law, Rob is a dedicated husband and leader in the legal and business communities.  He is often called upon as a legal expert by media organizations such as CNN, The Washington Post, WAVY, Stars and Stripes, and the Military Times.  Rob also dedicates time to various charitable organizations and causes, most of which help veterans in need.
